I've got a problem where my 55amp ND alternator will not bring my battery voltage above what's in the battery until the engine is above 1750 RPM. I have just noticed on the info on the first page on this post that I'm not using the 'S' connector which is for battery voltage sence. Is this my problem or is the alternor simply to small?? I assume I could simply run a small cable from the main power lead on the alternator to connector 'S'? Team www.sheepspeed.com Racing

Oh, I forgot to mention I'm using the STD bottom pulley and STD V alternator pulley. I'm sure the belt is not slipping Team www.sheepspeed.com Racing

What year swifts do the altenators come off? I want to replace my Lucas one with one of these if I can get them cheap. Is there any modifications needed to it? |

Easy to install too. Metric is for people who can't do fractions. |

What's the advantage of changing the alternator to a swift one or other style over a standard classic mini one? Is it weight or power output or both?

Space, they are a very compact unit compared to the Lucas equivalents.
