It is rather frightening to see that some people think that a suitable solution to a failed hose is to crimp the rigid pipe.... especially on a front pipe.

Not so long ago a foreign coach operator did the same on a coach weighing considerably more and killed a lot of people.

As I read it, he crimped the pipe over just to get it to the garage for them to sort it. Not ideal, but potentially viable for a short trip to a local garage.

I wouldn't drive it with brakes on only 3 wheels. If you had to break hard, then the car would steer itself either into on coming traffic or towards the kerb, with potentialy disasterous results.

My mini did that, noticeably pulled left under hard braking. Fixed that very soon.
Looked a bit odd when one wheel was covered in brake dust and the other 3 were sparkly clean.
