It is rather frightening to see that some people think that a suitable solution to a failed hose is to crimp the rigid pipe.... especially on a front pipe.

As I read it, he crimped the pipe over just to get it to the garage for them to sort it. Not ideal, but potentially viable for a short trip to a local garage.

I wouldn't drive it with brakes on only 3 wheels. If you had to break hard, then the car would steer itself either into on coming traffic or towards the kerb, with potentialy disasterous results. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

My mini did that, noticeably pulled left under hard braking. Fixed that very soon.
