I just had a quick look at what is on that forum and, except for Paul's posts, everything I've seen on MegaSquirt and 5-port head injection is a load of crap. If the rest of the posts on other subjects are as informed that's a useless place to go.

really the only people that really into their 5 port efi stuff at the moment are you, Paul S and Rod S, so its not that suprising really,

I did qualify my statement by saying that I only had a quick look and was only talking about Megasquirt and 5-port injection. I agree that my last statement is unsubstantiated and only based on personal feelings but there are certainly people on there giving their opinion on something they know very little about but they don't seem to know that they don't know much. Such opinions are at best useless and can actually be harmful if taken as the absolute truth. Again, this is only based on my very quick look at some posts on a couple of subjects I quite familiar with. So that gives me a bad first impression about this forum which may be mostly unjustified. However, the warning about taking a critical look at opinions expressed there is valid (as it would for any opinion expressed on any forum, my own opinion included). Jean |
