Impossible to say. What CR are you running, how much boost are you going to run?

cr is compression ratio,

the std bk payen gasket has been used upto and above 20psi, although there are issues with current manufactured ones.

standard CR is 9.3:1 with an itercooler and som other tweeks you can got to about 10psi boost on a std engine

Standard compression ratio is 9.4-1, if you get a BK450 from the "good batch" they've been proven 25psi+.

Mini's aren't Skylines, you can't easily go out and buy a thicker head gasket.

Actually, you can!!!

Cometic make their MLS head gasket in a range of different thickness's.

How good the MLS stainless gaskets are though I do not know....

Hence why I said "easily", how many people do you know have lowered their CR this way over dished pistons or modified chambers?

Does anyone run with a stamped copper gasket?

I have done in the past, but only on a NA engine that accidentally ended out with too high a CR, until another head could be sorted out.

It's a bodge, not a proper solution.

Interesting observation, have been discussing getting a 1/8 one made. But you seem to think this is not the best way forward.

Try putting some washers on the head studs before you fit the head! This will lower your compression *wink*

1/4 Mile 14.3secs 96Mph Terminal 10psi of boost.
