Well as avon park is approaching i thought i'd better put a new plate in as mine was starting to squeal a little. So fitted the new plate etc and all was well. Forgot to cable tie the old slave cylinder into place and now i can't seem to get a decent pedal? Its pre-verto, double grey with a sintered plate and force racing clutch arm, I tried blocking it and bleeding through but still nothing?

Any ideas?

No, its all assembled, return spring is un-attached as it connects into the end of the bleed nipple. suppose i could connect it somewhere else?
Got about 2 inchs of free movement, but the pedal biting point is on the floor, never used to be like it? It must be bleeding incorrectly

Check the clearance between the return stop and the arm, sounds like its too big if the bite point is very low.

but that shouldn't have changed, i only replaced the clutch plate. for a new plate, so i would have thought it was slightly thicker. but nothing major, maybe a couple of mm as the last one wasn't that worn!

1mm clutch plate wear = approx 4-5mm adjustment at the 7/16" bolt return stop which in turn = around 20mm at the pedal.
