has anyone used an a frame to tow a mini? i'm talking the type that attach to the bottom arms not the lift up the car dolly type.

wont be able to get a car trailer built in the timescale i have, so i'm thinking of this route for now.

Ive used an A frame for towing minis loads of times, long and short jurnies from 2miles up to 350 miles at 70mph with no problems. As for what Paul said I towed my van yesterday with an LSD.
I thought something was wrong now I now. And as for what Nutter Driver said
Ive also been told youre not alowd to tow with them. As I said ive done lots of towing with no problems and no pulls from pc plod so ill keep using mine.

King Gaycharger, butt plug dealer, Sheldon Cooper and a BAC but generally a niceish fella if you dont mind a northerner

Rotherham, South Yorkshire

I have an a frame and regularly tow minis and bigger cars with it. Piece of cake. I towed both my mini and the metro van back from London (200 miles each time) with no prob's.

As for the law it's a very grey area and has been dicussed previously.

i use mine alot, brilliant bit of kit

as fair as the law is concerned, i think the tow car needs to be 'braked' so just put a blow up doll on the drivers seat

paul, re. cars with lsd's, i think it will depend on the type, ive towed cars with jkd mk7 (not sure if plate of c&p?) and quaife (geared), and i think a 'gripper' diff too with no problems

is the problem you had on yours, a salisbury/plate?

this has been covered several times on TM already. have a search.

i think youll find it is illegal to tow with one unless you are recovering a broken down vehilcle BUT lots of people are using them and not having problems with pc plod. other thing is if you have an accident whilst using one your insurance may use it to sqirm out of paying out.

so use it at your own risk imo

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.
