I have quite a small consistant leak coming from the area around the O/S pot joint.......

I cleaned it all up at the weekend, but cant seam to find the area causing the problem. The 'drip' seems to be coming off the main body of the pot joint, which leads me to think the leak could be above.....

Is their a common leaky area around here?

fairly common, it will be either the rubber seal or the bush on the inside of the endplate. The first is an easy fix, the latter is more involved.

Also look around the fuel pump area or even the rocker cover?
