hi

im will be running a suck through sc12 cupecharger setup on my 1100 engine, and im using and spi tank and pump can i use this regulator to limit fuel pressure to the carb?? (i have one you see) i think i need about 3-3.5 psi at the carb also am i right in thinking i need to tee into the inlet side and connect this to the return fuel line?

Buy one of these and leave the boost sensing port open to atmosphere.

What you are suggesting will not work.

I'll be using one of the ones linked above. IIRC the SPi tank runs at about 12-15 PSi, so you will need a regulator and a big return line to the tank.

3-3.5 PSi is correct for the suck through setup.

Any pump doesn't run at a pressure, it just provides a flow of fuel round the loop of the fuel lines. Pressure is dictated by the restriction imposed by the fuel pressure reg. For the requirement of 3 psi above any pump will be OK. All the return line must do is provide a free fuel flow back to tank. Where the SPi pump has its limits is when asked to provide a flow working against about 15psi at the fuel regulator- it cannot do this and so effectively locks out.
