cant find the link atm but some american was going on about if you take into account the exotic parts that get used in a prius (battery cells etc) the emissions that are made producing them make them the worst car for emissions from the start and you can run a normal car for a coupple of years before it starts to get the upper hand.

I read an article in an engineering journal only a couple of weeks ago that reckoned this is the case. It had graphs and everything. I'll see if I can find it again... I still maintain it's "greener" to keep running my P-reg 1.6 Suzuki Thing than trade in for a car that's had to be manufactured from scratch. Pottsy |
