I want to build un uprate my turbo engine from scratch, so I'm looking for a good book that I can read so I know what I'm doing. I know that I can find all of the info on this forum, but I want to know exactly why I should a particular type of turbo, what type of cam I should use for what application and why. |

Corky Bell has a turbo book called "Maximum boost". Good basic stuff of turbocharging in general. It is also quite new. (Note that most turbo books are 20+ years old, and may supply outdated info).

Corky Bell's Maximum Boost is very poor IMO.

I have a massive library of crappy old books and Vizard is my No1 read. Followed by "Automotive Supercharging and Turbocharging" By Haynes (F880) it's a brilliant book and gives a modern look at all the detail, including performance maps and a lot of the maths.
Bugger off, I'm getting there. |
