Hello gents.

I've done a search and can't find what I am looking for. As of this moment I am just trying to find out what is involved in changing from a 'baked bean can' style master cylinder to a race style one like this
http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/product_info....roducts_id=4048
I know I will have to figure out what brakes it will be using first to then chose the size, but what I want to know is how they are for fitting? Is there any fabrication that needs to be done with regards the pdeal box or mounting points?

Cheers

First mini turbo to get in the 12's & site perv

Herefordshire

Ive done this

TBH its not worth the effort at all. Theyre not lighter, incredibly expensive, and the brake performance is just as bad

I went for some ap master cylinders as they were the shortest ones I could find

You need to cut down the threaded rod probably as short as it will go

Make up a spacer to lift up the master cylinder as it will still be too short (4mm for me)

Make custom clevis' as the ones you can buy are way too long unless you lift the master cylinders even higher

Make a bracket for the reservoirs, this have to be higher than the master cylinder so it is possible that they may touch the scuttle.

Cheers Nic,

I had thought it might be cheaper as they are only £30 but I suppose if you factor in all the other stuff I suppose they are not worth the hassle/expense then?
