Having sat and stared at my block for a few minutes I have decided on a few alterations. The oil temp sensor that fits in the sandwich plate behind the filter housing move to the oil pressure switch location ant the turbo oil feed pipe move to the sandwich plate.

Also having decided to remove the part throttle lean of pipe I intend to move the sense line for the boost gauge to the fitting at the front of the carb.

Can anyone see any issues with the above?

Now here is a question. Under positive boost what is the vacuum advance doing and how does the dizzi take this into consideration. As mentioned on another thread you’re facing an on boost retard scenario.

Under positive boost the vacuum advance is doing nothing..

The turbo Dizzy has a lower than usual mechanical advance and a higher than usual vacuum advance, at idle these 2 null each other out to give a "normal" amount of total advance. Once you hit boost the vacuum advance is 0 and you are left with a lower than usual total advance, this is how they got round the problem without retard..

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

i think you'll find that having the oil temp sensor at the pressure line will not give a correct reading as there is no flow there. It never seemed to work on mine. Best place is in the sump.
