So after the weekends fun, not, I'm looking into getting a AFR meter, mainly so i can diagnose problems and get the most out of the car.

I use the LM-1, together with an LC-1.

If you want to log rpm aswell try looking at the lm2, the lm1 is a good bit of kit but is more designed to be portable rather than permanently in the car. |

I kind of just wanted something that i could spend £200 and get data, monitor in the car and then log it to look after. I don't mind have the laptop with me, but wouldn't mind a kind of all in one scenario.

If you get the lm1 or lm2 you won't need the lc1. |

We are only using both because we are logging inner and outer cylinders separately.

I'd go on the innovate forums and check that they 'fixed' the LM2 before buying. The first versions of this lost Innovate a LOT of respect and future business. Don't know if the issues are fixed yet however.

Bat does the VEMS gauge. Looks ideal for you.

ok....so if i brought this? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Innovate-DB-Red-LED-...89|293:1|294:50 I could then plug it into my laptop and do the logging from there? But how do i get the rpm signal into the logs? I guess i have to buy the lma-2 or lma-3? Unless my omex can take the AFR signal in and i can look at the whole lot in the omex software? Correct? stef Yes, it gets expensive if you have to get the Innovate add on bits. I would look to se if you can pick up the rpm and MAP from the Omex. We are now getting those signals from the Megasquirt. Saul Bellow - "A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep."

I want to get another TechEdge kit for the Miglia, but Sturgeo refuses to build another one as it was so difficult :( What an excuse !!!! I built two, and two display display units, no problem (apart from a design fault on the PCB which I found and they admitted to). All four units work fine, they are no more difficult to build than a Megasquirt :) But you don't have to build them, they are sold ready assembled too, there is an Agent in the UK but you will get a better price importing from Aus. Seriously, worth looking at their website and comparing the specifications to the Innovate kit. Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ??? |

I think the Lm2 keeps having software updates and they are getting to the bottom of it. A friend of mine uses one and he had problems getting a smooth signal from the rpm input but he has made up some sort of circuit which has sorted it.

If you decide to get an AEM, buy it from the States, much cheaper.
