Take him to the small claims court, it seems the only thing that works.

Well if you are in Ramsay you are only about 50 miles away, so why not turn up and don't leave without either parts or your money. Its not as if you are a million miles away?

Also can you either resize or get rid of that signature picture. Its massive and has nothing to do with a turbo mini.

Its 80 miles, thats 160mile round trip, i've been there twice, i shouldnt have to go at all. The pure principal of it.

Dood that comes across very selfish, I mean you say its 160 miles and you shouldn’t have to go. But its ok for someone on here to go for you might be worth rephrasing you might get more sympathy.

P.s. your sig pic is nice but put up a sig pic of your mini its way nicer *happy*

Well i was kind of hoping to find someone who might live very close by, like down the road. And if there is someone then I would have a chat with them via PM and sort something out and pay them some beer money, i'm not being selfish *wink*

I wouldn't get involved in someone elses dispute for beer money.

I think you need to go yourself so you can decide what to do based on how the discussion goes. If you don't want to travel then go through the small claims court.

I agree 100% with this. You either must go youself, or go through the 'proper' channels.

Small Claims Court.. I filled a claim with them after waiting about 2 years... He paid them the money in installments. Had to wait but at least I got it back. I had no choice as I live half way around the world. I'm sure you will get your money through them.

you need to sort this out yourself, you won't be the first and i am sure you wont be the last to have problems with simon. i don't understand how he can still be in business, all i ever hear is bad things about him and small claims courts etc etc

Zero, whether close by or not I doubt it would make much difference tbh

When I lived in Manchester, I used to have to pester Simon to fuck to get bits done for me, so they were ready by end of term, so i could fit them when i went home for breaks etc

We'd even arrange a time to pick up a head/engine/whatever, Id drive all the way down to coalville, sit outside his work shop for an hour or 2, ringing his mobile, house etc, no responce, Id be so frustrated.

This happened a number of times, once he eventually turned up, and confessed he had apparently got himself in a spot, and had to give the head to someone (Vegard, i think?) promised he would do me another and took me out for a few beers to apologise.

Another time I turned up to collect a gearbox only to be greeted with a blank look, i ended up sat there with a brew demolishing a packet of choccy digestives, whilst he ripped one apart and overhaulled it there and then infront of me, and hey presto.

on another occasion when my flywheel spun on my crank, i gave him a call, and within 4 days i had a brand new flywheel/crank on my doorstep, which to this day i honestly dont know if hes ever charged me for?

I like Simon alot, and think when his hearts in it his work is tops, but he really is truly, truly shocking at keeping ontop of business/deadlines, he cant seem to turn business away even when he knows full well he cannot manage his current workload.

In fairness I can imagine I was not at the top of his priority list, as he barely charged me for any of the work he did, but what I saved in pennies, I gained in grey hairs.

The last head he did for me took just shy of 3 years of constant/relentless pestering, Id now rather pay swiftune £1200 quid than go through that again.

Hes not a bad man, just fucking terribly, terribly unorganised.

This post sums the situation up totally. I've dealt with Simon a few times, and he's always nice. He needs to employ someone to run his business for him.

This is exactly the reason i dont want to make a 2hr drive there only to arrive and for him not to be there, its happened before and a lad working there said "he forgot he was away on holiday we cant get hold of him", a day wasted.

My last 5 emails and 10 answerphone messages have all going totally ignored, I had a day at home on tues and called every 10-20mins from 9 till 5 not once was it picked up, a few occasions it was busy so either he was there using the phone and ignoring it when it rang or someone else was calling to leave a message too!

I've filled everything out for the small claims online it awaiting my payment to them to kick it all into gear, does anyone know how long it takes? I thought claims like these going on the companies records?
