im traveling to spain next year for the imm, my 2 choices are , buy a normal mini to do the journey in, or take the turbo, now i dont fancy driving that many thousands of miles with the sound of straight cut drops and all the heat off the turbo etc, reliability is also a factor i would have thought!, so my plan was to swop a normal asp 1.3 engine in to do the run, will i be able to use the fuel system im running the turbo on but just blank off the pipe on the regulator that would normally go to the plenum? anything else i might need to do? |

the standard pump kicks out about 4psi, so i spose just blanking off the air feed to the plenum on the regulator should leave the supply at 4psi. I cant see any probs doing this, probably wont even need to block it off, just leave it to atmosphere |

I did exactly this. Just block off the plenum to regulator pipe and job done.
