*happy* ive aquired a side mounted turbo assembly minus the intake system and cant decide wether to mount the carb so its blown thru or sucked thru.
blown thru means ive gota use a sealed turbo carb, regulator and pump whereas suck thru i reckon its just the same as NA and ive gota play with the needle.

the guy i got the setup off aparantly used a renalt 5 turbo carb in some complicated and hard to follow way using a facet fast road pump im not sure how this worked on boost but it came with the kit.

any ideas and advice would be welcome *happy*

Blow through every time, allows intercooling.

I bet my first wank came quicker than your first mini turbo

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

very true, but i wasnt planing on intercooling it, i was thinking about 7psi max. ive got a free rolling road available so was thinking just bolt it to a standardish engine with a mg cam and see how it goes *wink*

I'm eventually going to suck through my ADO16, should be fine for 10psi without an intercooler, although there obviously will be inferior to an intercooled setup.
The reason for me is that I don't really want to make the fuel return and all that bracketry *wink*

still go blow through though as they apparently start better, idle better and more inportantly you can have a dump valve *happy*

The dump valve thing is a reason NOT to have blow through...

Ive read you get approx 10oC temperature drop over the venturi of a carburettor. So, running a draw through setup on any cold day where the temperaure is 10oC or less results in carb icing..
Love the old skool-ness of it though, Id love to build a draw through setup on something, bolt on, low boost, easily removeable.
