Hi
Can anyone tell me the best place to conect the boost gauge. On my'n at the moment, it's teed in where the pipe runs from dump valve to the manifold. Is this correct because I,m not sure if it is reading properly.

Thanks for any help :)

Welcome fellow minivan member !

As long as the source for the dump valve comes from the manifold side of the carb rather than the plenum side, it should be ok to tee into this line.

I had trouble with mine until I realised I'd connected it to the plenum instead of the manifold. It would hardly read any vacuum at all until Ben H pointed me to his brilliant link, as advised by Ben above.

Also, just as a simple test of the gauge, it might be a good idea to disconnect the gauge and GENTLY pressurise it with a foot pump to see if the positive scale works and then follow this with a syringe to see if the vacuum scale works.

Good luck.

Richard.

Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.
