Hi Lads I haven't been on here for a good while now, as kids etc stopped play with the mini. But I've just MOT'ed it for the firt time in 3 years and I'm getting the mini bug again!

Basically it's a 1968 car that was hydro. I ran coilovers for a while but decided they were too hard, so fitted rubber springs to the hydro subframe and used the coil over shocks without the springs. But the ride is still to hard even with the shocks on the softest setting. (Car tries to launch out of pot holes etc.)

I have high lo's fitted, and my shock absorber mounting points are from the coilovers (Welded to car) can anyone recommend a good set of dampers (not bothered if not adjustable) also how do I decide if I need shortened shocks, is there a measurement I can make?

Final question! I'm running on 10" mini lites (Not stupidly wide wheels) suspension bushes tiebars etc all in good condition only modification is the high lo's. Running around 1bar boost with a good spec engine. But finding the torque steer and general handling is making brown pants! Is this normal or are there any suspension settings I should pay particular care of?

Sorry if rambling!

Cheers
Gibbo

Try the KYB gas adjust, bet compromise shock around IMO and cheap too.

Check you have even caster and no wild toe settings.

Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph
