What else does the forum need, what needs fixing, what needs adding? What would you like to see the forum do?

Just wanted to say thanks for everyone putting up with the forum so far. You've all been great, and I'm sure I speak for Iain and myself when I say that I can't believe how big TM has got. Its all down to you guys!!

I vote for some colour
it's kind of like the internet eqivilant of a hospital here

maybe optional skins with colour so the skivers I mean workers don't complain

and maybe some better smilies

i quite like the "hospital" look keeps it simple and doesnt bake your head, but maybe the option of custom backgrounds and text colours etc might be cool.
i think i'll also just say this forum is probably the best one i use, in terms of layout and ease of use so well done alex!

Yes, short cuts to sections, think about us poor old dial up monkies.

How about changing those pics on the home page, flattered as i am of seeing the HC Racing demonstrater each day it would be nice to see some other cars on the front page..Must be wads to choose from.

The site seems to be not "as busy" as it used to be IMO.

im happy with the site, a change of piccys on the home page would be good or maybe change them monthy.

i agree with giallofly does seem to have slowed quite a lot since avonpark and i suspect it'll pick up again as people try to get ready for next years avonpark etc.

how difficult/possible would it be to have a choice of colour in "my settings" for the background

None of the forums I look on are very busy at the moment, but I dare say it will pick up in the new year.

Be interesting to know how many lurkers there are. I browse many forums looking for info but only post on a couple.

Also, if any of the cars with 'Turbominis' stickers are going to the mini show in January you might pick up a few new members. It always seems a popular show as people start on projects for the summer.

Thing i'd really like to see is a 'location' that is filled out in the profile and appears under the username when someone posts... It makes it easier for people to assist others - eg if someone is stuck and needs a help and says they're from Manchester - i'd see this and could go and assist them...

It's used on 16vmini.co.uk and is a good extra... Aside from that, it's all good!

go on your settings dave there's an option on there for your location thats just recently been added

alex, been talking to iain today and we thought a section for people that are visiting the website for the first time would be beneficial

i'm looking at having some time off soon so could maybe look into collating some of the old posts etc for the section

what do you think?

As for the tables, im not sure how they'll actually go on the forum... but i suppose there could just be a topped post with 'best 14 times' or something, and someone can keep it up to date?

i'll add the other section soon dan - would be ace if you could sort the posts to fill it.

Another thing...
A few 'new' users are complaining of difficulty in trying to look through old posts - as they have to select 'past 12 months' but as soon as they go the the second page, it reverts to the present time.... Well something like that anyway!

Was that change made for bandwith reasons? ~If not, i personally find it a little annoying and prefer it like it was!

it was for bandwidth / speed issues, Dave. with the next release it'll be a setting in your user settings!
