I've seen this advertised:

11:10 Silverstone Classic
SILVERSTONE CLASSIC THE LAURENCE BLOOM MEMORIAL TROPHY IN CELEBRATION OF 50 YEARS OF THE MINI - RACE 1
A hornets' nest of Minis will burst over the start line and buzz angrily around the circuit in a packed grid of closely matched cars.

I'm looking for details now but does anyone here know if its going to be worth watching?

Here for the craic..

more info:

Start Time: 11:15 | 17:35 SUN
Length :1 x 20min Race | 1 x 25min Race

There are four classes. “Appendix K” being cars running to original race specification. Mini7 running to Mini7 club rules. Mini Miglia which are very fast with highly tuned engines and Mini Libre where anything goes as long as it looks like a classic Mini or is powered by a Mini engine and gearbox. This is a pursuit handicap so the slowest start first and the fastest last with timed gaps between each section.

Expect lots of close racing and plenty of daring overtaking. This is door handle to door handle stuff.

Sounds good !

I watched the race briefly as I was at silverstone with the historic f1s keeping me occupied. Have to admit that the best race was the world sportscar masters with lola t70s ford gt40s chevrons and a ford f3l. Was a real good weekend until it started to rain when we were packing the truck. On way home now for rest!

Just got back from this, some fantastic cars to be seen, highlight for me was the touring cars, brilliant to watch. Will try to get some pics up soon.
