Obviously, with a suck through system, a backfire can be very bad news. Old Shorrock units were fitted with a BOV in the kit. Bugger off, I'm getting there. |

If you get into backfires you have screwed up big time somewhere. Using the factory settings when initially starting the engine is a pretty safe starting point. |

have someting "disposable" on the engine side of the throttle, or after the charger you dont mind blowing up to save everything else(like a fuze!)

I have had a think and reckon that the amount of pipe after the blower would probably absorb the shock I would get with "that much" fuel, if it spat back. I will go without, I think Bugger off, I'm getting there. |

I would't I have had mine backfire and I'm glad I that it has a blow off valve. I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.
