Hi all im new to all this, know abit about turbos (had 215bhp fiesta in past). basicly i have a mini and would like to build an engine. i have a metro block sitting there and just need to know and pointers like what pistons you lot tend to use. and want a t2. i think 120bhp is about right but want it to reliable. i sort of have a budget of 800quid but it could change if i perswade the misses. lol

800 squids may be a bit optermistic, I managed a conversion for a grand http://www.turbo-mini.com/62147.html and as you can see from the link I didn't buy any engine or box parts.

£379 buys you a set of forged Accralites. These will withstand up to 1000bhp. Not that an a-series will ever produce that. lol |

£150 will buy you a set of AE 21253's that can be machined up to 15cc and will stand up to at least 160hp. On 20th Oct, 2015 Tom Fenton said:
