got this far with it and cant really decide what the prob is. out of the 2 carbs, only one lifts, it isnt stuck or anything but if you lift it manually whilst running, it dies. think its still running too lean, even though i have completely removed the jets now!!!

any ideas??

my 998 is running 210 jets and I had the needle turned down, on a single VP

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

it could be lifting too easily and allowing shit loads of air in. thus choking it on hard revs.

have you checked the rubber diaphragms in the tops of the carbs for splits etc? they can usually be fitted wrong and this can cause the slide not to lift

i did have some backfires, but not now. just turns over and doesnt fire. i literally have to squirt loads of fuel down to get it to start. i'm off to germany for a week tomorrow too so i'm pushing it to get it finished in time!
