I am considering changing to some 4 pot calipers and was wondering which company produce good ones.

The minisport ones have taken a slating recently so I'm not keen on them. but If I put a new bleed nipple in them possibly the issue of them breaking off could be removed.

The KAD ones I assume are the lightest and best, but I don't know if I can justify 150 quid over the likes of minispares ones. Are they a 150 quid better product?

What do people think of the minispares ones, they look decent but I don't know who runs them

The brakes in question will be to fit under 10" wheels, and preferably as light as possible.

Have I missed any others?

I had KAD 4 pots and rate them very highly! Not had the Minispares ones, nor drove with them, so can't comment.

I will be going back to KAD though!

Lightweight racer coming soon.

I've got the Minispares versions. They are very good, but I've not used any other variants, so can't compare.

In the 13's at last!.. Just

The Minisport 7.5" ones i have infront of me have got an M10 or M8 bolt in the the caliper with a bleed nipple then in that.

Perhaps they have changed the design around the nipple?

i havent used them yet, they are just bolted to a set of hubs.

They may be for sale soon if you are interested, Discs aswell.

the old minispares calipers are good, not the bling machined shiny anodised ones, but the old cast ones

I have just fitted the minisport ones. Braking seems ok, but then again I haven't driven a mini without a servo for ages so will take some getting used to.

As for the bleed nipples, you just gotta be careful with them. Don't go wanking them up tight lol.

am sure tarox do a nice brake setup for 10" wheels.

I think a lot of people rate the minispares ones.

Mini spares - Mini spares - Mini Spares

Cant rate them high enough I have Kad 4 pots on my car and had a pain in my ass trying to shim the to fit right,

Just fitted a set of Mini Spares 4 pots to a customers race car bolted them straight on bleed them up jobs a gudon.

They WILL perform as good as KAD as there piston surface area is the same and there distance from hub centre is the same so no difference in breaking.

I find the easiest way is to super glue the bolt to the end of one of my fingers.
