Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

Right decided to ditch the T3 setup and go for a T2. Ive seen a few pics of Turbodave's altered metty manifold but does this still require body surgery?

Also seen the mirage ones which claim not to require body mods but is this true?

Im hopefully going to be making my own set of tubular manifolds up but need a starting point really.

Ideally want no body mods as its hopefully going in a pickup which i dont want to butcher. *happy*

Yes the Mirage kit does NOT need surgery. Here are some pictures with a T25 (bigger than the T2 obviously) in my pickup.

It's a great piece of kit and really does the Turbo conversion wortwhile. I would NEVER cut the crossmember on any of my cars.

Vegard, you are the only person I know who has the Mirage manifolds, they look very neat. One question, how do you connect your exhasut to the downpipe?

infact it's my friend Petter Jakob's manifold. It will go into this car:

We only put it on the pickup to see if it'd fit, and it did nicely.

The exhaust pipe attaches straight to the turbo-housing. The 90degree bend as standard T3's have got is binned. It allows more flow as well, and the entire downpipe is included.

GREAT PIECE OF KIT!

The only difference between the two of practical importance, are the pistons.

It doesn't really matter.
