outlook express question

it's been doing it for ages now, do you know how i can turn this off.
every time i close the programme a pop up comes and says....

free up disc space express can compact messages this may take a few minutes

i just click cancel


i don't want to do this as i've heard it make it slower to open, is there any way of getting this pop up to stop, i've looking in options and can't see and tick box to tick.

I just clicked yes.....does get annoying.

Cant say I notice any delays that would annoy me during its usage.

speed didn't kill me, but taxation probably will

thanks Mike, trouble is I to like someone on there don't have an Indexing Options button showing any thoughts on how to find it, i've searched but no joy.

Just click it Matt, I do and then it goes away for a while.

Do you know how to get into regedit

Look for this key in the Registry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Identities/{GUID}/Software/Microsoft/Outlook Express/"which ever version you have 5.0 perhaps"

Double click the Compact Check Count
Select the Base option for Decimal and change the value to 0
This should change both the Hexadecimal and decimal values to zero.
Close the Registry.
