T3 refers to the family of turbo if you like. There are then lots of variations within the T3 family, the metro version being the smallest. Other T3's include Escort RS turbo, Sierra Cosworth as you mention, and Lotus Esprit turbo.

TB0329 is the AI-research part number
CAM6924 is the rover part number
466146-0001 this number is also on them.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

There are a couple of variants on that last number, I have got 466146-1 and also 466146-1E, so I wouldn't worry too much about the bit after the "-".

In essence it is only the bit in the middle (the core with the bearings in it) and the exhaust flange configuration that makes it a T3 series. Even then, there are two different versions of the core, oil cooled only (Metro) and oil plus water cooled (Cossie etc.)

The unique bit about the Metro one is the 0.25 A/R exhaust housing, every other variant is bigger and you might find a 0.36 (or it might be 0.38) housing from an XR2 has been fitted as the 0.25 housings are no longer available.

Essentially, yes....

Same series or family, but Cossie uses the water cooled core and bigger turbine/compressor housings/wheels so I wouldn't go quite so far as saying they are technically the same.... just the same basic design.....
They both bolt onto the same 4 bolt exhaust flange but I certainly wouldn't swap them :)
