Totally losing my mind right now for the third time I’m having oil pressure problems*evil*

Here are the first two time and the testing I did with them.

This time it is a bit different tho, it is very slow to get up to pressure as in 30-60 seconds to get to 40 PSI. What could this be from? When I put it back in tonight it was sitting on 60PSI all nice after 15km driving started dropping to 50PSI then slowly to 40PSI and that where it is now.

I’ve changed the relief vale from a STD slide, to a ball bearing, back to a slide with a bolt in the back of the spring to give more tension and no different at all.

I’m more then over this thing now, and pulling my hair out with what it can be... It shouldn’t be this hard. My last motor never ever had any problems with oil pressure, even with all the abuse we all gave it, this one that I have tried to do every last thing right with it, didn’t scrimp with anything and can’t get it to work*crying*

Throw as many questions as you can think of to give me some more ideas of what it could be.

Thank you from a very tired, cold and frustrated Nathan. :( :)

From reading the stuff on Ausmini, the only thing i would try is a new oil pump. As its slow building up pressure and the O.p. seems to be regulated to 65psi with your airline, then that is the only obvious thing it could be.

Yes there are not too many things to go wrong really. The only thing I'm worried about with a new pump is the shaft slipping like I found with the last two I have got.

Thinking about converting to a Metro turbo pump, how common is this to do to a small bore?

Thanks Nathan.

With these dodgy oil pumps - especially not knowing if it's dodgy or not - is it worth taking the cover off and putting a couple of very small TIG weld tacks between the shaft and inner rotor ???

Just a thought...

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ???
