imported in 1997 from south africa ,it started life as a 1976 1100 clubman, has a south african 1275 a series engine had lots of head work ect , turbod running 3.5 and 8 psi boost allegedly 112 bhp at the wheels ? 1 am going to get it roaded in time , has hi low suspension all round , 13 " minilites , full stainless exhaust , the car is not mint but used daily and driven hard as it should be .

Looks nice, I think I prefer the original rear lights to the clear ones though. You should think about fitting an intercooler for some extra power on the cheap!

sorry tom missed that it has a small intercooler mounted below the front mounted golf rad .

Are the SA 1275's not a small bore engine with a different crank? making for a more square engine??

Nope, but some of our 1100's are 1275 bores with shorter stroke. Would be interested to know what it costs to import a car, just brought a plenum, carb and manifold and the shipping was 80quid alone(same price i paid for the setup)

Edit* is the intercooler a new addition since taking those pics, as there definitely isn't plumbing between the turbo and plenum?

Don't mean to be rude but it seems you've mixed up intercoler and oil cooler, but as Tom says, fitting an intercooler gets you some "cheap" power, and once done you have all the parts for any future intercooler install too, maybe the odd new pipe required when you decide to go for a sofa-sized intercooler.

Your Mini looks really smart though, just goes to show how harsh British weather is on Minis!
