What can i say, a great weekend overall. Birmingham Mini Club were in over there heads big style with this one, arrived thursday night around 8pm to find no one really seemed in charged. Some tit sent us all into the main gate (which was bogged down) in a massive motor home and trailer, they then asked to get it out the gate we just came which was a right ball ache, eventually we managed to get out onto the main road when we were asked to park accross the road (on our own) we told them to bollox and being northerners soon took control of the situation and found our selves a little road leading in (which the staff failed to tell us) and got tented up. None of us really moaned as the weather couldnt be helped and there wasnt much point kicking up a fuss! Once we got settled in the beer just started flowing and the sun started shining! Loved every minute and was gutted to go home on monday!

As usual it was great to speak to folks off here!

Sorry for all the pics the missus just went mental!

Enjoy

The biggest problem was poor organisation right from the start. I have been to loads of IMMs and even helped organise the Silverstone event in 1994. Mike from the BMOC complained that the toilets had been vandalised, diesel stolen from one of the gennys etc but where was the security? Answer none except on the entrance to the parties. The security that was on the gate was removed completely on Sunday afternoon and left the site completely vunerable!

At Silverstone we had guys from the venue driving around in landies - we specified twice the number of showers that were suggested and no problems with running out of water. Where we were camped the toilets were reliant on water tanks. Every time one ran out it involved having to unscrew the feed pipe to the pump and switch to the other one then bleed the system thru. So do you think there was some one checking on this and doing it? Bollox was there!!!! I did it four times I think just so I could wash my hands properly and my friends could also! The water ran out on numerous occasions laterly on Sunday afternoon and it was not refilled with the event finishing on Monday - absolutely disgusting and not how the IMM was run in Holland in 2008! I was ashamed to be British in view of all the international visitors seeing this shambles.

The event itself was great but no thanks to the BMOC. Also the IMM was not properly segregated from Mini 50 which meant people were able to get in to the IMM area and pay a lot less. Also I believe running Mini 50 generated a lot of cash (on top of the IMM) for BMOC like 15000 people at £10 or 15 per head so it is not as if there was a cash issue.
