I've got one and have never managed to get it to work properly. Could never get it to seal on to the top of the master cylinder On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

Mine has completely revolutionized the way I bleed my brakes. Normally I totaly avoid doing any work on the brakes as I know while I bleed them I will lock up the nastly bias valve on the bulkhead leading to a whole host of problems. This time I got an ezybleed thingo and within minutes I had a firm pedal! On 7th Nov, 2008 Nic said:

I have one and hate the thing. It never bleeds the brakes properly, always has loads of air in, never seals and you end up with fluid all over your nice paint.

Exactly as Rod says - mine is at least 20 years old and bleeds the twin circuit Metro brakes first time every time. |

Yes,5-8 psi and no more. Also you get through quite a lot of brake fluid, but do finish up with a firm pedal. 'Where does the engine go?' |

Probably justme not having instructions then. I have two. One was in the boot of a scrap car I bought and the other was in a job lot of my Dad's old tools On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

i loved mine until it broke... always found that i had to run round doing the 2 person method just to make sure everything was out tho... I found it made life easier with the missus as i didn't need to ask for her help for so long. |

If you wrap some PTFE tape around the thread it usually sorts out any leaks.

Andy. However, I now use a hand operated motorcycle brake vacuum bleeding kit which you control at the bleed nipple to pull the fluid and air from the system rather than push it. As there is no positive pressure, you don't get any leaks. Fab piece of kit. OK its £35 or thereabouts but its well worth it. Lots of outlets but try : http://www.mandp.co.uk/productinfo/533338/...ed-kits/Mityvac Good luck with your choice. Richard That sounds promising, i'll look into it! Thanks |

We used one of those on the race car, was a brilliant bit of kit..

Andy. I've got one. The leak issue goes away if you take time to ensure a good seal and only use a few psi. Kinda defeats the object but brake bleeding performance is enhanced if you push the brake pedal down as well.
