If my number plate lights and reverse lights don't work is that a guaranteed MOT fail?

reverse lights are not part of the mot
but number plate lights are so should be a fail unless you know the tester *wink*

just loop a wire in from your side lights to get the number plate lights working *smiley*

as billy said, reverse lights dont matter, number plate lights do.

Cheers, I'll have a look at the number plate lights first :) Looking at the state of the screws on the lamp covers I guess the previous owner knew the tester.

Mot is not until the end of Jan so plenty of time
