Soon my bog standard clubby estate will be turbo!

Im going over to mettyturbos garage friday to take the engine out of the metro, along with fuel pump, front brakes, regulator ecu etc. Want to make the conversion as fast as possible.

Tomorow i want to order all the bits...
the bits i can remember are (can you think of any more)?

New engine mounts (minisport)
4pot conversion bits (minisport)
New downpipe (doesnt have one on metro thats gone - avonbar)
Oil feed pipe (got any iain?)
Dump valve diaphram (forge)
Exhaust clamp (avonbar)
8mm fuel lines (local shop)
8mm t piece (cant get another mpi tank now, and this methood works ive seen it! anyone have a source for the t piece?)
Turbo box (avonbar)
Air filter

Want to get well prepared for when engine is ready to dorp in. Gonna try do it in two days.

forgot, ill also need a different top hose wont i, a different radiator bracket too.

im trying to do this on a budget too :) I want to buy saubers sidewinders

Also i think ill get the side exit stainless exhaust by playmini from huddersfield mini spares but im not sure if a standard exhuast will fit a van/estate will it? Also will need exhaust hangers that bolt onto the subframe for using rubber hangers

I used to have a playmini on my estate. You need the backbox with the longer tailpipe :)

maniflow do a van/estate back box as well. fits the down pipe better

PM'd you about the oil feed feeb's. let me know asap

minimine in stoke do the stainless estate backboxes.

give us a shout dude and i may be able to get you a T piece like the one i'm using (guessing its for your return feed yeah?) think it only cost me about a fiver or something silly like that. rated at 10 bar and hasn't failed on me yet! got it from a hydraulics company.

Geniune playmini stuff does fit really well, but I switched to a twin box maniflow cos the single box playmini was too noisy for trackdays. The pops and bangs were great

The maniflow estate backbox has a tailpipe extension piece that allows you to set the length to suit.

Both are top systems, but I prefer maniflow personally :)

BAD NEWS

Abandoned the metro. The black one we was taking the engine out of was a wreck. The engine was in good condition though. Half way through taking it out in the cold we gave up. I have pics, even rolled the metro onto its roof with mettyturbo fomr here to get to the bottom mounts, its just too much work. Not only that but im banned from using my parents garage with the oil again.

Instead, ive just bought a mint metro turbo!! well pretty mint anywya and i really like it. Pics to follow. Its silver, leccy windows etc and dump valve, full stainless exhaust.

the engine is sound, seems tune dup checked it with colourtune and timing light but going to get it set up. Its alot faster than my last metro turbo!! now we need to wait for the log book to come through. Im oging to sell the clubby now i have no where to work on it nad keep the metro

ps, so if anyone wants a COMPLETE METRO TURBO ENGINE AND EVERYTHING INCLUDING FUEL PUMPS, REGULATORS, DIZZY basically everything you need to get you mini turbo'd except the fuel pipeing then pm me or call me on 07816366314 and ill put you in touch with lee. its half out already only the driveshafts holding it in really. Its also a turbo carb and was a good runner he said when parked up, including good gearbox. Situated in Colne, Lancasher
