i worked on my mini today and i got the turbo off aswell and the exhaust manifold and i also got the carb off and tomorow the head is coming off as i need to inspect everything due to heavy white smoke under accelration and the engine cuts out when revs build up or changing gear so

whilst its all off what should i check like wear wise and stuff?

Did you make sure the fueling was good before you stripped it?

Just a thought from you mentioning it it cutting out.
