after searching through the threads and reading a lot of info i'm still none the wiser as to which fuel pump to run. some people are running pumps from random motors from scrap yards, there's a pump in minispares.com they say is specificly for the turbo(part no. TURBO 05) some have fitted the facet red top(but as i can make out thats not the way to go) or a few have gone for running the mpi tank/pump. mine mini is just a standard MGMT, running standard boost, for road use only(no track days or competitions). all advice greatfully received.

easiest solution imo is to run one of the £25 electric bosch copy pumps from ebay, then T piece your return line back into the feed to the pump. On 20th Oct, 2015 Tom Fenton said:

The Bosch copy (various on eBay) is more than adequate, you will need to make sure your return line is large enough though or your regulator may struggle to keep the pressure low enough if it can't spill back enough fuel. Remember the "copy" is designed for fuel injection so has quite a high pressure and flowrate, so that's why a good return is essential. Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ??? |

You can use the Bosch pump as fitted to W124 chassis mercedez, Escort XR3i XR2i, Cosworths etc etc etc... Orthe pumps fitted to the Rover SD1 Maestso EFi, Montego EFi etc etc.....

Yes, but not for high boost engine. MPi ones are better Edited by apbellamy on 28th Sep, 2009. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

The Bosch number for the mero pump is 0 580 464 070. May be useful when searching ebay for one On 12th Nov, 2009 Paul S said:

all the spi pumps i've tested only put out 1bar, we tried a fair few when we spannered for a mate racing mighty mini's. so anything over about 10psi of boost and you'll need the mpi tank/pump. On 20th Oct, 2015 Tom Fenton said:
