when you dropped the pushrods back down there holes they shopuld have all been withing 1/4" of each other sticking out of the top of the head,

the head fitted on okay, but obviously the rockers didnt, due to the rod being so high up above the head.

it appeared that the cam followers had come out and fallen over, so when the rods were being put in the holes, they were sitting on the sides of the followers |

it appeared that the cam followers had come out and fallen over, so when the rods were being put in the holes, they were sitting on the sides of the followers before you pull the push rods out always give them a few twists and a wiggle to free them off the followers. the oil sort of holds them together and when you lift the push rod out it pulls the follower up as well. no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.
