This is one for the electrical minded folk

We've got various sensors that output a 0-5v signal and want to plug the output into more than 1 device(ecu/datalogger/gauge). I understand that this isn't recommended as you'll get resistance/drain from each device and therefore inaccurate readings. Does anyone know of anyway around this?

been along time since i did my alevels but couldnt a zero gain amplifier be used?

or a 'voltage follower'
... been along time but i have built similar before cant remember what it was for though:(

You know I was just thinking about this the other day as I'm considering taking the output from the temp sender and sharing it with both the gauge and Megajolt to adjust the timing.

I was gonna T piece in two temp senders but if there's an easier method i'd be happy to trial it :)

The following link shows how to share a temperature sensor on Megasquirt: http://www.megamanual.com/v22manual/sharesen.htm.

If there isn't a bias resistor in the ADC conditioner circuit like for a TPS, then you should be able to share the sensor directly assuming both devices have high impedance analog inputs.

Would a good old 741 work?
