I have searched, but not found the answer.

My own experience is that it is best to put the return in at the absolute top of the tank - that way internal pressures/restrictions/ fuel level cannot affect the operation of the regulator as it will allways be spilling back into an open space.

It's not in the top. About half way up I think. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

It's near the top of one of the sides.

Another thought. There is a breather that runs from the top of the filler neck back into the top centre of the tank. could we T into that or would it cause breathing issues On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

The return into a Metro turbo fuel tank returns into the bottom of the swirl pot and funnels down to about a 3mm outlet. It acts as a jet pump to draw fuel from the main body of the tank into the swirl pot thereby keeping it full as the tank is near dry

Swageloc kin expensive! but fitting pipes is a piece of pooh with no more constant streching of pipes over fittings. I would do mine but cant be arsed (it works leave well alone) Own the day
