Hi, i have been contacted by a chap from France who is interested in a car i have for sale, i haven’t sold a car outside of the UK before, are there any complications? what extra do i need to take into account etc?

I think its all up to the buyer to do the work - as far as I'm aware you just need to send off the paperwork to the DVLA to say its been exported. At least that was how it was when I sold a car to a guy in ROI. On 15th Jul, 2009 fastcarl said:

yup, i've sent 2 or 3 to the states before and its just a case of sending it off saying its sold to the dvla and writing a receipt for them for customs type thing.
