i tried to fit my coilovers last night to the front of the mini, only problem was about half way through tightening the compressor there was a loud bang and it shot up as its tension was realeased due to the puller coming loose.
i thought i didnt screw it in enough and it didnt have enough meat there so tried again and again it happend little to no damage on the puller so what can i do?
how can i remove the sus componants now the thread is wankerd on the cone?

First is it the right thread you've been using on the puller (early are imperial, later are metric).

But if the threads have stripped inside the "cone" (spring) you can remove the lower (rebound) stop to let the upper arm drop a little more and then remove the upper arm spindle carefully.

Then pull the upper arm out and the spring/cone will be free.

It won't pull out easily because there will still be some spring pressure, but it can be done.

EDIT - beaten by mini13......

I would have thought the preasure applied by the cone will close the gap as you cut.

I would just smash the trumpets with a BFH.

tbh my cones were that flat after removing the lower bump stop i had just enough room to pull it all out....

putting the fooking huge red dots in there with adjustable cones was difficult though*happy*

i like the BFH idea just because of what it means lol. good point about the threads for the puller i never thought of that, maybe i can try the other to reduce the pressure and remove the top arm :), cheers peoples
