ok guys, this is a good one :)

i just got my smart car back in one piece after a full engine rebuild (burnt out valve, common problem) anyway, it starts fine and drives fine, after about 15mins driving or idling it stalles and wont restart for about 30 mins, it turns over happily on the starter with no spark or anything, once its cooled down a bit it fires happily into life and drives normally again, ive hooked it up to a diagonal stick and it brings up no errors, and no sensor readings at all when its cranking over and not starting,
ive asked on smart car forums but reconed its worth asking here as i recon turbo mini people are more hands on than a large number of smart car owners *happy*

there are 3 coil packs one for each cylinder, its a very clever engine. *happy*
it has 6 valves, 6 spark plugs, 3 200cc cylinders with oil cooled pistons, a t12 turbo with air intake and boost out ports the size of penny pieces, a chain driven cam, and no cat on a 99/2000 car!!!!

i think 2per cylinder work better for a cleaner burn
