Brilliant idea, bit expensive but anyone tried them?

You design the parts yourself using their cad software then it calculates how much itll cost. Few weeks later your parts appear in the post

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

I use their software a fair bit just for sketching stuff out so i can see it in 3d, handy for weighting stuff too...

not bought anything though.

you cant really draw pistons up on there properly, the softweares just not complex enogh,

pistons are a funky shape, oval and tapered at the same time, so they fit properly when hot.

I used their CAD software as im i tight arse and wont pay decent mony for anything. I downloaded solid works, but cant figure out how to work the instalation and crack, so gave up real easy lol.

I have had parts machined else where by supplying them with the export files, and this is the result, which works a treat *happy* But as has already been said, real complex shapes are impossible with Emachineshop, even some simple things are impossable or very difficult to draw, which is a pisser when you was an o ring groove.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

I used it a lot..

Never actually ordered any parts but I used it to draw up the engine placement when I was working out my schedule 40 manifold, for free its great, I was able to rotate the compressor etc and play with the angles to make sure the turbo would fit.

I think In one of my posts there are downloadable e-machine shop drawings of the engines relationship to the bulkhead, if not I can email it to anyone intersested.

One thing I did was scan gasket drawings (for a GT15) and convert them into the program, very rough to start with but I was able to produce a decent GT15 outlet flange which I gave to the guys who eventually cut them for me. I also did the manifold flanges ..
