Still having issues with gear linkage that were present before it came off the road.

Which part of my linkage is likely to be worn if i no longer have to lift the gearstick for reverse? I keep missing 3rd gear if i'm trying to change up quickly as i keep going slightly over into reverse so it won't move up any further.

I've got a spare linkage here that looks to have had a shitshift fitted at some point as there's no pins to fit the cup that holds the gear lever down on it. Can i steal the thing inside it that the gear lever fits into as its held on with a roll pin either side iirc? or would it not be this part thats worn in the one that i've got fitted?

slightly confused, Nick.

If you can get it intoreverse without lifting the stick, then it's the bottom plate that wants fixing.

id say the bottom plates ridge thing that you lift the stick over is fushed, if you unskrew the bottom plate all should be apparant *Yes*

Should look like a shark fin sticking up out of the botton plate, just swap them over?
