Metros come in two versions, one with inlet and outlet at the same end, the other with them at opposite ends.

The Mk 1 rad has the inlet & outlet at the passenger side (I have that type) and the Mk 2 Metro had the inlet at the drivers side. Also have plenty of spare pipes for both kinds...

I am going to try and mount a Vaxuhall Nova 1.2 radiator, the dimensions seem a very close fit to the front panel so I'm hoping not too much needs to be cut away. I personally think using a radiator with the inlet furthest away from the thermostat housing is better if you have an intercooler mounted above the slam panel as it keeps the hose out of the way.

It's the 229mm high one I'm looking to fit, I know it was fitted to some of the 1.2s but not all of them. There is also one with the same measurments but it has the inlet and outlet at the same end. The Valeo parts catalogue has good information on all the different types but the link seems to be too long to post here. |
