I don't think Metty's get rarer than this - 1983 Mk1 Turbo LHD, 90K Kilometres sitting in Norfolk now after a lifetime over the channel. It hasn't been on the road for 10 years but everything works so I'm off to find a gallon of juice soon! The last bill in the history from 1998 had an engine build/turbo/box etc for the equiv of £3000 - in 98!!!

it is very very solid underneath - no tin worm under there at all, the front wings are starting to suffer a little and a small 5p bit on rear valance, I remember when mettys used to crumble under my eyes when I first started driving 20 years ago - this one is exceptional for being 26yrs old If Carling made Mini engines

new old stock genuine turbo drivers wings on ebay at the moment. Valances come up every so often too.

I don't think a mild k-headed turbo would be out of order. It's a reversible modification and could showcase to some of the a-series metro owners out there what can be done. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

I saw this on Wednesday as it arrived. Top looking motor. I think the shape of an 8v Twinky Cam cover would look great in the square Metro shape... |

Apologies if this offends anyone on here, but am I the only person that thinks that the only good thing about the Metro was the Mini engine?
