I have a problem with the metro turbo. The potjoint is coming out(bit in the boot). When the car is on the ground I can feel the edge of the bearings.

This happened after lowering the car, so I raised it back up. Car drives ok untill a corner or the engine is under quite abit of load. I thought the inner cv was just worn(this was before I realised the potjoint is barely in) so have replaced it and it still does the same thing.

Could this be something to do with the diff? bent driveshaft? outer cv?

I've had this on mettys, they seem to do it if you really slam them to the deck.

the cup cars have special shafts, pretty sure they are longer.

you could get 2 sets of shafts and cut and reweld them, there is a guy on 16v mini that does cut and shut shafts for around 30-40 quid a pair. user name Aband

Oh also check your engine mounts.

agreed check your engine mounts, especially the offside back one where the steel plate can (and does) shear.
