Okay, so I got a new head gasket along with my new head, and I'm confused. The original gasket is a single coppery sheet. This new one is two layered, one of metal and one of some sort of composite. There is no marking as to where is the front and where the top is. I'm assuming the metal is the side down, and the composite is the side up, but which is the front, i.e. closest to piston 1? |

once you have decided which is top (my guess is metal down, composite top) it will only go on one way round re which end is piston 1.

Okay, cool. And yes we do have twix's here, and I noticed the shadow after I uploaded the photo. Was hoping I could get away with it. |
