Hi,

I'm Simon & just registered today. Hope you don't mind me picking your brains regarding my build plans.

Well the shell is pretty much done, all painted and building up well. My attention is now drawn to the heart of the old girl. My plans are for an M45 supercharged motor. I have a couple of turbo lumps, I'm picking to bits to make the best out of the pair. The idea is 1293 low compression lump, so I can raise the boost, but what I really want to know is what is the best compression ratio. I'm not cutting corners in any way, so it will be Omega's at either 10cc or 18cc dish, as you can no longer get 15cc (might dish out the 10's to 15cc, as there is enough meat). IF I was to use either of these pistons, what's the best CC head to go for, and what is the best valave sizes, seems the nor reading the engine builders sites is 30 exhaust & either 35.7 ior 36 inlet. I already have the cam, which is the v max scart 265 spec, as the other one Stuart does is a bit to lairy really. Also has anyone tried the smaller pulleys out to raise the boost/spin the charger quicker.

Hello and welcome

In ym SC12 supercharger build I'm going for 8.0:1 CR.

Which pistons you use are down to the spec of your engine.

Have a search around here for a spreadsheet on AR Racings website that will help you calculate the CR for your engine. As a general rule you should beuild your engine to the spec you want, so your piston dish will depend on things like the chamber size in the head and deck height of your block etc etc. the spread sheet is very helpfull....

Thanks Guys, appreciate your help and lincs to the CR s/sheet. God piece of kit that. Anyone played around wirth their final drives ?. I ask as I want this to be ok to drive and not just a pig that spins the wheels all the time. Was thinking with sticking with either te 3.2 turbo final driver or maybe a 3.1. 3.44 above just makes it a bit to much of an animal. Anyway, all suggestions from people who have tried & tested would be greatly appreciated
