Well this is a good story, I'll start at the beginning, late August we started talking to a potential client in the Netherlands about a twin cam engine for a mini engine destined for a race mini taking part in a 6 hour endurance race at Dijon - not a mickey mouse track by any means. Anyway I proposed the spec then he told me the lead time the engine had to be put together under - gulp.

So customer takes delivery of box fresh engine -exactly the same spec as our silver road car demo engine - the one Richard Longman raved about (120 real ponies and 100ish curly wurlies - low lift LT cams etc) other than I built this one on a turbo crank and 4 bolt main - on Wed the 23rd Sep - should have been Mon 21st but the courier was slow in France. On Friday the 25th Sep he has the engine installed and running in the car - completely on his own no questions to us. On Sat he has quali and yesterday the 6 hour race. Bearing in mind this motor was box fresh as there was no time for dyno beforehand the result was a very happy client!! These are his words exactly this morning

The engine is very smooth, and reliable, but very effective ! Of the 75 cars on the track they were only 3 Porsches (3.0 and 2.8l) a BMW 3.0Csi and a Caterham with 1700 ss faster than us ! And we were not at full throttle (plus some brakes troubles).
