Just a quick warning went to log into my online banking today and thought it was strange that they were asking me for my full security code(dont normally ask for that). rang them up and they confirmed that a virus had infected my computer. amazing thing is that it wasnt a link, i went through the HSBC website as per usual. 1972 998 TURBO SLEEPER |

Check your hosts file. It looks like you've been redirected to a bogus site. Have you been looking at naughty stuff??

After changing windows explorer back to version 7 it seems to have corrected the issue, but my IT guy at work was stumped. 1972 998 TURBO SLEEPER |

IE 8 is rubbish and buggy like hell. i found websites didn't load and had all sorts of troubles from it. Probably did not help to your virus issues either. Edited by t@z on 29th Sep, 2009. |

At least its not like tvr. You say its got a handling issue? Youll have to work around that one then. Try not to make a mess when you catch dead.

DO NOT use internet explorer whatever you do!! Firefox is the best browser that you can get on a windows PC in my opinion!! orrrrrr you could buy a mac and use the best browser ever made?!?! On 23rd Aug, 2010 Nic said:

I went to a malware seminar today. I've seen a fair bit of stuff in 20 odd years in IT but this really opened my eyes. SQL injection, polymorphic malware, executing scripts in pdfs, and the majority of malware gets onto your machine from legitmate sites, including the av vendors all with the intent of stealing data in the same way viruses used to. Macs are not safe either now.

Any particular anti-script plugins that you would recommend Neil? If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

I can't recommend one as I use firefox but didn't think about the anti-script plug until it was mentioned today. I need to go searching myself. I think he called it noscript or along those lines. Apparently not everyone likes it as you have to keep making decisions as to what runs and what doesn't during browsing. |

I had the same thing with barclays a few months back. I'd never been asked for the 5 digit pin number before and thought it was a bit odd! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fusion-Fabri..._homepage_panel
